The fundraising efforts of The Luke Foundation are dedicated to contributing to the research of Professor Semsarian and the Molecular Cardiology Program at the Centenary Institute, to understand the genetics that can lead to sudden cardiac arrest in young adults or Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (S.A.D.S.).

Understanding the genetic causes of sudden death will be critical in developing new diagnostic and treatment strategies, with the ultimate goal to prevent sudden death amongst the young in our communities
